KZN Ladder Rules
01
ONLY OFFICIAL MATCHES WILL COUNT FOR THE KZN LADDER
Registered KZN Tournaments & CLUB CHAMPS.
KZN Super League and Winter League Only.
02
Any result in Point 1 (even a single 3-2) is considered a successful result/win.
03
A 3-2 win is only not a result if in a ”Challenge” scenario.
A second 3-2 win would then count as a successful result.
CHALLENGES MUST BE LODGED with the KZN Committee with 1 weeks Notice!
This is to ensure the Match can be officiated!!
A Challenge not lodged with notice, is a NIL Result!
04
A win within 4 positions results in a direct move to that position.
Everyone shifts down one position below.
05
A win outside of 4 positions results in a 60% move up (for winner) and 40% move down (for loser)
06
A win outside of 7 positions is a NIL result – no effect – anomaly.
Please understand that until Sporty can deliver an accurate ladder (points basis) this rule is applicable. Kzn Squash does not have the resources to run a points system.
Players are welcome (and Encouraged) to request challenges if they feel they are out of position!
07
Should a Player not have played a Tournament or league match within the last season.
They will be ”hidden” (in their current position) within the ladder. Similarly to Non-KZN players.
To ensure Rules 4 – 6 are more appropriately applied across the ladder.
08
”Current form” is NOT a variable considered for the ladder.
08
The LADDER as at the end of WINTER League & Club Champs is the starting LADDER for the next year.
